Pilates

“In 10 sessions you will feel the difference, in 20 sessions you will see the difference, and in 30 you will have a new body.” This is the promise made by Joseph Pilates.

Created in the 1920’s by Joseph Pilates, the Pilates method is a proven form of art and exercise that will retrieve and maintain your flexibility from youth, lengthen and strengthen your muscles, and reconnect your brain to your body.

By utilizing the Pilates technique of breathing and movement, slow-twitch muscles will be engaged, lengthened and strengthened. These are the muscles that hug tightly to your bones forming a healthy body from the inside out. Through the strengthening of your core muscles, Pilates is an exercise that will increase stamina, flexibility, posture, and create an overall balanced body. When practiced regularly, the benefits of Pilates will carry over into the rest of your daily life, it is the “complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit” (Joe Pilates).
